On Friday, February 9, the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Grand Opening of its member, La Placita Supermarket, located at 152 Shore Road.
Chamber members were joined by local officials including Mayor of Manorhaven Jim Avena, Village of Manorhaven Clerk Sharon Natalie Abramski, Town of North Hempstead Clerk Wayne Wink, Town Councilwoman Dina DeGiorgio representative Chris Shannon and Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton representative Toni Kessel. Joining the celebration were representatives from the BID and local media.
They all welcomed owner Felix Diaz and members of his family and staff who joined in the celebration. The inside of the store has been completely renovated and is very bright and clean. They have an impressive array of food offered for sale, including fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh deli, frozen foods, meats and much more. Everyone present wished Mr. Diaz much success.
