Kings Point civic helps increase voter turn out

The Island Now

Fellow residents:

We have just finished our most interesting Village election in recent memory.

You may have seen the Kings Point Election articles in The Great Neck News, Great Neck Record, and Newsday.

While there seem to have been some problems in the election, happily, there was a BIG turnout which shows that people really care about our special little village.

The Kings Point Civic Association takes no position on candidates. KPCA represents all residents in our village.

KPCA does take positions on issues that affect us all. That’s why we need your active participation including attending Kings Point Board of Trustee meetings (next meeting: Thursday, July 28th at 8:15 p.m. Village Hall) and KPCA meetings and events. Please pay the very small $25 annual dues* so that we can design and operate a KPCA Web site to keep you informed of Kings Point news and meetings as well as generate mailings to all residents.

We mentioned above about the election. If you have any ideas about the election system or if you had a problem this past Tuesday, tell us. We can only improve things if you tell us about the problem. When we find out about a problem that bothers a lot of people, we can inform the mayor and trustees without using anyone’s name.

The mayor and trustees want to help but they need to know that there is a problem in order to fix it!

Kings Point is your village and the Kings Point Civic Association Inc. is your association!
