Jackson Avenue School learns conservation

The Island Now
Jackson Avenue School students enjoyed the “Conservation Caper” performance.

Students at Jackson Avenue School in the Mineola Union Free School District attended a special assembly called the “Conservation Caper.” Presented by the National Theatre for Children and sponsored by Long Island’s local PSEG, the free program reinforced what energy is, how it works and how we use it. The presenters used a series of comedic and education sketches, along with student participation, to discuss the important topic of energy conservation.
