Mimi’s Adventures in Baking: New York Style Pizza

Saturday, July 8 at 11 a.m.
Kids can embark on a baking adventure with Mimi, where she will measure, mix, and bake her way to the perfect New York style pizza. Pizza may be the highlight of her trip, but follow Mimi as she discovers all New York City has to offer! Alyssa Gangeri, author of “Mimi’s Adventures in Baking: New York Style Pizza,” has worked for the Ritz Carlton, appeared on Food Network’s “Sweet Genius,” and has her own pastry business and restaurant in NYC.

Heckscher Museum of Art Lego Workshop

Saturday, July 8, 1-3 p.m.
Calling Lego builders of all ages! Meet and build along with Lego artist David Haliski at the museum.  The first 25 families receive a free Heckscher Museum “Take and Make” Lego set.  The workshop is part of the museum’s 97th anniversary celebration, which includes free admission and family activities all weekend long.

Under the Sea Sprinkler Party

Sunday, July 9, 12-3 p.m.
Youngsters of all ages can splash through sprinklers and enjoy craft stations throughout the museum and then cool off with free ice pops!  Kids should dress for wetness. In the event of rain, the craft-only party will be held indoors. $10 Child -$6 Adults. Members half price.

Gustafer Yellowgold’s Show

Summer has arrived and so has Gustafer Yellowgold!  Gustafer is from the sun, but has moved to earth where he sees the world through fresh and whimsical eyes. Creator and Grammy-nominated artist Morgan Taylor brings the character of Gustafer Yellowgold to life through animation and music.  Who knew cheese and cake could be so much fun! For children ages 4 and up.
