Maritime Explorium

It’s All in the Angles!

Saturday, Feb. 4 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Design a “rooftop” to withstand a winter snowstorm at the Maritime Explorium, Long Island’s Family Maker Space!  Every week, they feature hands-on interactive investigation for young thinkers and makers, plus colorful nautical exhibits.

Alice in Wonderland Follies

Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m.
Performed by the New York Theatre Ballet, the classic story comes to life in a light, airy and beautifully staged ballet.  Ages 4 and up.  Sponsored by Americana Manhasset.  Single ticket prices: $15, $25. Price includes a $3 facility fee.

Children’s Workshop: Valentine’s Day Planting

Saturday, Feb. 11 and Sunday, Feb. 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kids are invited to decorate a clay pot and plant it with a flowering plant at Hicks Nurseries, the oldest nursery and garden center on Long Island.  Cost: $10 per child. Reservations are not required.
