LEGAL NOTICE
INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF EAST WILLISTON
NOTICE OF REPORTED UNSAFE STRUCTURE AND CONTINUED HEARING:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a structure located at 20 High Street within the Incorporated Village of East Williston has been reported by the Building Inspector to be an unsafe structure in accord with Chapter 22 of the Village Code.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the Board of Trustees of the Village will hold a continued public hearing on November 13, 2018 at 8:00 PM in the Village Hall located at 2 Prospect Street within the Village at which time the owner or representative is directed to appear to show cause why the unsafe structure should not be repaired, vacated, or demolished.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that as a result of this hearing the Board may issue an Order directing that repair, vacation or demolition of the the structure may be deemed, and that upon failure to do so within 10 days of such Order the Board of Trustees shall then cause such unsafe structure to be repaired, vacated, or demolished as the facts may warrant and shall cause the costs of such repair, vacation, or demolition together with a service charge of 50% thereof to cover cost of supervision and administration to be charged against the land on which the structure existed as a municipal lien, or cause such costs to be added to the tax rolls as an assessment or to be levied as a special tax against the land upon which the structure stands or did stand or to be recovered in a suit at law against you.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that failure of the owner or representative to appear at the hearing shall be deemed a denial of interest in the issue, and that the hearing will go forward in absence of the owner or representative with the Board of Trustees making any and all orders it deems necessary under the circumstances.
