Inaugural food truck festival in Westbury

Live Nation in partnership with WBAB and WBLI will host the first ever Westbury Food Truck Festival in the parking lot at NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 3 to 8 p.m.

Attendees are advised to make sure to bring your appetite to this inaugural event where you can to take a bite out of the best food on four wheels that Long Island has to offer.

A collection of mobile master chefs will serve up delicious dishes for every craving of even the most seasoned taste buds.

The food vendors who will be participating include:

All American Wontons: These are not your typical wontons. They are crispy, handmade and filled with delicious flavors such as Buffalo Chicken or Bacon Mac and Cheese.

Bona Bona Ice Cream: Bona Bona is chef Nick Di Bona’s line of restaurant-crafted ice cream. Bona Bona is an evolving collection of delicious, imaginative flavors, currently being sold out of the Bona Bona Ice Cream truck, at Smorg Square (Smorgasburg Soho) Fridays through Sundays, at Nick’s restaurant, Madison Kitchen, local food fairs, country clubs and restaurants.

On the Scene Cuisine: Celebrity chef Gail Chandler, “The Queen of Mobile Cuisine,” also known as “A Cake Lady,” brings her mobile Italian restaurant to make the most incredible gourmet party you will ever have. Did someone say, “Fried Mac N Cheese Balls?”

Dough Me A Flavor: An eclectic shop with a welcoming feel best describes Dough Me A Flavor. From the candied maple bacon and everything in between, only the freshest and highest quality ingredients are used for their mouth-watering creations. Not forgotten is the jelly doughnut for that traditional doughnut lover.

Gyro Uno: Here you have a classically trained chef making Greek/Mediterranean-inspired street food with kicked-up flavors, including gyros, souvlaki, falafel and more.

Kona Ice of Long Island: Kona Ice Long Island is devoted to bringing the best tropical-shaved ice treats to Long Islanders.  Their colorful, family-friendly mobile truck creates an exciting and delicious Kona experience anywhere you choose.Nao Caribbean

Nah Caribbean: Flavors is a tasting menu that is inspired by nature and plays out through the five senses with impeccable visual compositions and unique flavors.

Gorilla Food Trucks: Chef Joel Santiago, who studied at the French Culinary Institute, has been working as a chef in the film and TV industry for more than ten years. Be sure to try his chorizo on a pretzel bun with mango slaw.

Jericho Cider Mill: Jericho Cider Mill has been providing Long Islanders with fresh apple pies and cider for over 150 years. You don’t want to miss their cider donuts, candy apples, apple strudel bites and more.

Farm to Truck: Executive chef Jason Tepper is taking local to a new level with Farm To Truck. Partnering with Long Island farms and local purveyors has allowed him to create a rotating menu that is #freshAF.

Fry Daddy’s Gourmet Fries and Deep Fried Treats: Funnel cakes, fried Oreos, and chicken bacon Ranch fries are just a few of the many delicious treats you can expect at this truck.

Mr. Smith’s Seafood and More: Not surprising, Mr. Smith’s Seafood and More specializes in all things seafood. Stop by the truck for your fill of catfish, scallops, shrimp, clams and more.

DLS Events: DLS events will provide an Oktoberfest Fair complete with an entire Oktoberfest menu including brats, schnitzel, and your choice of German beers. For those who prefer to drink from the vine, DLS will feature a wine deck complete with tastings, cheese plates and a sommelier discussing the different options.

Now that summer has officially ended, grab a sweater and head on out to this outdoor Saturday event that will also be filled with games, prizes and other fall fun.
