Vikings Are Victorious vs. Lawrence, 38-24!

It was a gorgeous autumn day for the North Shore Schools 2021 Homecoming Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 16.

From toddlers to alumni and senior residents, the Homecoming Fan Fest offered something fun for everyone! Thank you to the entire North Shore community for an outstanding Homecoming 2021!

In addition, congratulations to the NS Vikings Football team for triumphing over Lawrence, 38-24 and all of the alumni who came out to celebrate with us!

To kick off the day, numerous K-12 students, faculty, parents, and community members, enthusiastically participated in a wonderful Homecoming Carnival with fun games for all ages. It was the largest North Shore Carnival ever with approximately 600 entrance bracelets sold!

Throughout the day, Interim Superintendent Tom Dolan could be seen speaking to students and community members, holding the Fun Run yellow ribbon at the finish line, and celebrating with alumni!

Congratulations to the alumni winner from 1958 and his family! However, that wasn’t all, BOE President Dave Ludmar and members of the Booster Club could be seen grilling burgers for our hungry Vikings!

During the Homecoming Fan Fest, you could see the joy on everyone’s faces as everyone joined in the fun. At noon, there was an amazing football and cheerleading clinic for younger students to participate in.

Older students took to the field to teach their younger peers how to kick, throw, and cheer! At 1:15 pm, the large crowd moved into Stadium Field for the pre-game show including the Fun Run, Pulse dance performances, cheerleaders, and the exciting Viking Football game.

Thank you to the band and drum line for playing numerous popular songs that set the upbeat tone for the afternoon. At 2 p.m., the Vikings took to the field to a thunderous round of applause by all those in the stands.

Congratulations go out to the Vikings Football team and their coaches for an exciting victory, beating Lawrence in an action-packed game, 38-24!

A big “thank you” goes out to the Athletic Booster Club members who worked hard at the concession stand. Cheers to the Parent Organizations along with high school classes who sold various North Shore merchandise in support of our schools and programs.

Also, many thanks to the Homecoming Committee, Rachael Bowen, the parent associations, the Arts Angels, the Athletic Booster Club, Board of Education, administrators, alumni, faculty, students, and North Shore community for an outstanding day!
