Fall Prevention Workshop Thursday, April 8 at 1 p.m. Every second of the day in the United States, an older adult falls—making falls the leading cause of injury and deaths from injury among older Americans. Falls and fall injuries are more common than strokes and can result in health problems that are just as serious. Falls is also the number one reason older adults lose their independence. History Mystery: The Real History of Cave Paintings Thursday, April 8 at 7 p.m. This class requires no prior knowledge of history or art, but come prepared to explore the fundamental role of art in defining what it means to be human. Presented by Patty Hamrick. Patty has an M.A. in Archaeological Anthropology from New York University. She has worked on excavations across Europe, Asia, and North America, including India, Cyprus, and Syria. She loves bringing her passion for the past to new people.

Paint Night! Sketching and Acrylics with Alma Friday, April 9 at 7 p.m. Sketch and paint a beautiful bird with talented artist Alma. Supplies: Canvas or paint/watercolor paper, 12×16 in., yet any other size can work too; Acrylic Paints: red, blue, yellow, white and black; 3 different sized brushes: A very fine one for details (pointed round 5), a medium (flat or angle) and a larger (flash wash 3/4) one for the background; Tools: A cup with water, paper towel, mixing plastic pallet (can be a paper plate).

Zumba Thursday, April 8 at 5:30 p.m. All Ages Youth (Kids/Tweens/Teens). Dance your cares away with this dance-based exercise!

Time for Kids: Dinosaur Stomp Friday, April 9 at 1:30 p.m. Ages: Birth- 5 years (with parent/caregiver). Come join A Time for Kids, Inc. as we travel back in time to the land of dinosaurs. Activities include music, movement, fine & gross motor development and storytelling. There will also be a sensory bin activity to engage and boost development. Suggested Materials are: Small box or bin; Dried beans or rice or cereal or sand; Dinosaur figures and Musical instruments.
