Students from Hillside Grade School visited Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park on April 27.
The students, along with two teachers, delivered the children’s books that were collected from the school’s fifth annual book drive.
The book drive was sponsored by the Building Level Team and the event was chaired by Reading Teacher Lauren Fretto.
Students, families, teachers and staff of Hillside Grade School donated many children’s books to help share their love of reading with the patients. While at the hospital, students and teachers spoke with a hospital representative and learned all about how the hospital helps make their patients feel at home.
