Great Neck Water Pollution Control District
RESOLUTION NO. 06-2017
September 28, 2017
Upon motion duly made by Commissioner Landsberg, seconded by Commissioner Reiter and unanimously carried, the following resolutions were duly adopted:
RESOLVED, that the next annual election of the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District shall be held on the 5th day of December, 2017 and that the polls be open for the receipt of ballots at such election from one o’clock in the afternoon until nine o’clock in the evening of said day at the following places:
South:
Great Neck Water Pollution Control District
236 East Shore Road,
Great Neck
North:
Great Neck House,
14 Arrandale Avenue,
Village of Great Neck
and it is further
RESOLVED, that the office to be filled by said election and the term thereof is as follows:
OFFICE​—​COMMISSIONER
TERM​—​THREE YEARS; and it is further,
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Town Law Section ß215(20) (a) all candidates for the office of Commissioner of the District, to be voted for at such election, shall file their names with the Secretary of the Board of Commissioners at District Headquarters located at 236 East Shore Road, Great Neck, New York no later than the close of the business day at 4:00 p.m. on November 6, 2017 and (b) such nominations shall be submitted in petition form subscribed by twenty-five (25) registered voters of the District; and it is further
RESOLVED, that no person shall be entitled to vote at such election unless he or she is a registered voter with the Nassau County Board of Elections, who shall have resided in said Great Neck Water Pollution Control District for a period of thirty (30) days next preceding such election: and it is further
RESOLVED, that only those persons who are registered with the Nassau County Board of Elections on or before the 23rd day prior to the date of such election shall be entitled to vote at such election, and it is further
RESOLVED, that qualified voters of the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District must vote at their designated polling places; and be it further
RESOLVED, that absentee ballots will be available pursuant to Town Law ß213-b.
The Board directed that the election notice be forwarded to the Great Neck News for publication.
