Rebecca Yaminian, a student at John L. Miller Great Neck North High School, was awarded the Comptroller’s High School Innovation Award.

Nassau County Comptroller Jack Schnirman presented the award, which was born out of the annual Achievement Award. The Office updated the award’s criteria, inspired by student innovation.

Innovative students confront a problem or challenge facing them or their community and make a positive impact through their efforts.
