Great Neck Library adds film streaming service Kanopy

The Island Now

The Great Neck Library now has a streaming film service, “Kanopy,” which will allow Great Neck Library patrons to access thousands of movies on demand.

Patrons can have access to more than 30,000 film festivals, world cinema, Indies, award-winning documentaries and educational/learning films on any topic imaginable from around the world, with new films added each month, as well as classic films from companies such as The Criterion Collection.

Patrons can access Kanopy and start streaming films instantly by visiting http://greatneck.kanopy.com or downloading the Kanopy app for iOS or Android. Patrons can stream anywhere, anytime – 10 films a month – for 72 hours each from any smartphone, tablet, computer, television and mobile device.

All that is needed is a library card.
