Gas stations in Great Neck, Roslyn Heights, Flower Hill and Mineola were hit in a spree of armed robberies early Thursday, Friday and Sunday morning, according to the Nassau County Police.

A suspect, described in police reports as a 5’7 black man in his twenties carrying a black handgun, allegedly robbed or attempted to rob a Shell station in Roslyn Heights and Mobil stations in Flower Hill and Great Neck in the pre-dawn hours on Thursday.

A suspect of similar description then allegedly robbed station and a convenience store in Levittown, Hicksville and Farmingdale between 3:25 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Friday morning. Police said a seventh robbery occurred in Mineola on Sunday at 4:10 am.

Police are treating the incidents as linked.

“We believe it’s part of a pattern,” said NCPD spokesman Steven Zacchia.

The suspect, described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black sneakers and a dark cloth covering his lower face entered the Shell gas station at 220 Mineola Avenue in Roslyn Heights at 3:05 a.m. Thursday.

The man then allegedly demanded money from the attendant and fled northbound on Mineola Avenue when the shopkeeper refused to hand over the cash.

At 3:15 a.m. the suspect then allegedly brandished a handgun at the Mobil station at 1021 Northern Boulevard in Flower Hill, making a getaway with an undetermined amount of money.

And at 4:00 a.m., the suspect alleged displayed the handgun and robbed the Mobil station at 595 Northern Boulevard in Great Neck.

A manager at the Great Neck station told Blank Slate Media Friday afternoon that police would be coming by the store to review security camera footage.

A USA gas station in Farmingdale, an Exxon station in Levittown and a 7-Eleven in Hicksville were robbed within a 20-minute span early Friday morning, according to police.

In the Mineola robbery early Sunday morning, the suspect displayed a black hand gun and demanded money from a young man working at the Citgo Gas Station located at 2 Jericho Turnpike, leaving the scene on foot.

Police describe a man of similar description showing a handgun at all three locations and making off with cash, cigars and cigarettes.

No injuries were reported during any of the robberies.

The crimes come after a series of unrelated robberies in February, when several North Shore TD Banks were hit in what police described as linked robberies.

Police made arrests in connection with six of the 10 TD Bank robberies reported, but suspects from four of the crimes are still at large.
