The time of year is here again, when all residents are asked to decide on the future of our school district by voting for the budget and selecting a person to join the board of education. That person should be one that represents the real life taxpayers and the students of Herricks. For many years, the current members of our board of education have been handpicking and supporting the candidates that only they feel agree with their antiquated ideas on how the school district should move forward.
The time is now! We must rally together and vote to elect an independent voice to address the real issues facing us all.
It is with great pride and pleasure that I ask all Herricks residents and taxpayers to join me in voting for Jim Gounaris for trustee on the Herricks School Board.
Jim’s passion and commitment to the students, parents, senior citizens, and all community members is evident. He has constantly spoken up for our students needs and has expressed serious concerns regarding our districts financial problems. Jim has always been proactive, has a deep understanding of the workings of our district, is in touch with our current issues and concerns and most importantly is not afraid to speak his mind.
I have known and worked with Jim in different capacities within the Herricks PTA organizations for many years. He has always exuded dedication, character and compassion in his many endeavors. His professional financial background and incredible spirit will help guide our fine district into the future.
Together, with your votes, we can make a difference! We can elect Jim Gounaris to represent all of us on the Herricks Board of Education.
