GN South High pop concert to feature musical review

This year’s Great Neck South High School Pops Concert will feature a musical theatre review and lots more! It will take place on Wednesday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m., in the school auditorium at 341 Lakeville Road.

The South High Choir will perform selections from various Broadway shows, and will take their listeners through a historical musical journey. The program will begin with “Bon Voyage,” from “Anything Goes,” and conclude with “One Day More,” from “Les Miserables.” The concert will also feature the music of Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein.

South High’s select choral groups will perform selections from musical theatre and current popular music. Groups include: Barbershop, South Singers, A Cappella, and Soul Sisters.

The concert will be under the direction of South High choral director Pamela Levy.
