Girl Scouts Bowling Bash

The Island Now

Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently hosted their annual Bowling Bash Rally at Farmingdale Lanes in Farmingdale.

Each year, the Bowling Bash is the kick-off to the girls’ Mags&Munchies program, and this year it is the start of the celebration of the 100th year of Girl Scouting in Nassau County.

Girls from different troops came together not only to bowl, but to make friends and share their love and passion for being a Girl Scout.

As well as bowling with friends old and new, girls of all ages participated in bingo, dance parties, and a scavenger hunt. Girls had the opportunity to win prizes, and had a sneak peek at this year’s new patches and recognitions.

Mags&Munchies and More gives Girl Scouts of all ages the opportunity to sell various products including popular magazines, candles, snacks, chocolates and more. This entrepreneurial initiative is intended to help Girl Scouts practice their sales strategies before Girl Scout Cookie program begins and earn rewards at the same time.
