The World Language Department at the Roslyn Middle School celebrated National Foreign Language Week, the week of March 4. Classrooms were filled with activities to promote cultural and language awareness.

Students brought in artifacts to share their family culture and heritage. Students created crafts in the classroom, shared traditional foods and played cultural games. Daily trivia questions were made over the announcements and students participated in Spirit Day, wearing clothing to represent another culture.

All language classes participated in the “Pulsera Project” – bracelets made by artisans of Nicaragua. This year, the Pulsera Project was made into a competition among the language classes and all 500 bracelets were sold.
