The ceremony will be preceded by a Vehicle Parade which will begin at the Village Hall at 9:30 AM.
On Memorial Day we remember and honor the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who made the supreme sacrifice to protect our nation and to preserve freedom and democracy.
The ceremony will include our National Anthem, the presentation of wreaths to honor the fallen, roll call of Floral Park residents who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces, taps, and the presentation of memorial bouquets to Gold Star families.
Invited to give the Invocation and Benediction is the Rev Thomas Fusco, Pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church.
The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by local scout troops.
The POW-MIA ceremony will be conducted by Vietnam Veteran Robert Murray and the
American Legion Color Guard will be led by U.S. Army Veteran and Sergeant at Arms Edward LaChapelle.
Floral Park Mayor Kevin M. Fitzgerald will present greetings.

Post Commander Matt Cacciatore states that on Memorial Day we honor and remember the fallen and their families. It is our solemn duty to honor them for their courage, loyalty, service, and sacrifice. Our Village’s Memorial Day Ceremony exemplifies Floral Park’s commitment to “always remember.”
