On Saturday, April 24 members of the Floral Park community joined forces with the Floral Park Police Department to collect expired and unused medications to prevent them from being used inappropriately or getting into the groundwater.

Members of the Floral Park Lions Club volunteers from the Floral Park C.R.E.W. (Coalition of Resources for Education & Wellness) and Village Trustees worked with the Floral Park Police to provide for the semi-annual collection of medications and drugs at the Floral Park Police Department’s headquarters.

The Drug Enforcement Administration then takes all the sealed containers and arranges to have them destroyed appropriately. It was a great effort by all.
