Tribute bands to play the music of U2 and Coldplay

The Island Now

The Paramount will present a tribute to legendary rock bands U2 and Coldplay with the groups Unforgettable Fire and 42 on Friday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m.

Unforgettable Fire, or UF as the band is commonly known, was born on New Year’s Day in 1995 as one of the very first U2 tribute bands to ever perform in America.

After 20 years of playing in some of the most prestigious venues on the East Coast, UF has formed a reputation as one of the closest experiences to being at an actual live U2 show.

The members of UF are dedicated fans of U2, and won’t settle for anything less than complete authenticity.

In addition to performing a very impressive array of U2 material from pre-Boy to the most recent Songs of Innocence and beyond, the band does everything in their power — from wardrobe to lighting — to recreate the live U2 concert setting for their audiences.

Returning to The Paramount for their first performance since February 2017, 42 is the ultimate tribute to the music and style of Coldplay.

Bringing all the sounds, sights, and energy you would expect from Coldplay themselves, this is a show which takes care of every aspect in great detail, offering the most authentic experience available.

From the music, costumes and even the unmistakable Chris Martin sound on piano, 42 offers a concert that will leave you wondering if you just saw the real thing.

So come “Viva La Vida” with two of the best tribute bands out there.

Tickets to the show can be purchased at www.paramountny.com.

The Paramount is located at 370 New York Ave. in Huntington.
