State Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso helped to clean up the Sands Point Beach over the Thanksgiving weekend.

D’Urso is on the state Assembly’s Environmental Conservation Committee.

“It is important to keep our beaches clean; the garbage left on our beaches ends up in the oceans and can cause harm to the sea-life and it is unsightly for the residents who use the beach. The work cleaning our beaches today will preserve and maintain them for the future,” D’Urso said.
