A man drowned in a swimming pool on Sunday in Glen Cove, according to police.

The Glen Cove Police Department reported via a statement by the Nassau County Police Department that a 54-year-old male was swimming with his son, 12, early that afternoon when both were discovered unresponsive in the pool.

Officers went to the residence, located on Hitching Post Lane. Both victims were removed from the pool and CPR was performed.
