Dolphin Bookshop showcases Great Neck artist

The Island Now

Kelly Cunningham is an artist residing in Great Neck whose work will be showcased in a new exhibit at Dolphin Bookshop, with an opening reception on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m., and her work on display through Dec. 30.

Cunningham’s first love is painting and communicating beauty to others through form and color. She feels complete with brush in hand, but often finds herself sculpting with the paint and bare hands.  She seeks to find the structure and invisible movement that captures the unique, expressive quality of her subjects.

A designer for CUNY, Cunningham received her BFA with a concentration in graphic design from the University of Connecticut, and a masters in communication from Pratt Institute.

All of Cunningham’s artwork in the exhibit is available for purchase.

Dolphin Bookshop is located at 299 Main St. in Port Washington.
