Davi to do Sinatra at Harry Chapin Theatre

The Island Now

Hear the songs of “Ol’ Blue Eyes” at Eisenhower Park’s Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre on Friday, Aug. 30. Critically acclaimed singer and actor Robert Davi will perform a tribute to Frank Sinatra with opening act, comedian Mike Marino.

An iconic screen presence, Davi has been in many hit movies, including “Die Hard,” “Show Girls,” “The Goonies” and is considered one of the top three Bond Villains with his role in “License to Kill.” Davi is also devoted to the American Songbook and a memorable showcase honoring “The Chairman of the Board.”

Davi’s show is a superbly theatrical tribute to the man who defined 20th century popular music. In concept and execution, Davi’s performance is unlike any other entertainer’s.

More than a concert, his reflective program (which includes snippets of well-placed dialog to supplement the music) is designed to return his audience to Sinatra’s music of the 40s and 50s. The free “Davi Sings Sinatra” concert begins at 7:00 p.m.

The Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre is located in Eisenhower Park, Hempstead Turnpike and Stewart Avenue, near parking fields 6 and 6A. Lakeside Theatre is a venue with no formal seating so concertgoers are urged to bring folding chairs or blankets.

Special accommodations are available for disabled patrons, including reserved parking, easily accessible restrooms and a convenient reserved location on the hill. Assistive hearing devices are also available upon request for the hearing impaired.
