The Island Now

The fourth season of Stephen C. Widom Cultural Arts at Emanuel concludes on Sunday, June 5, at 3:00 p.m., with popular entertainer and music historian Harvey Granat, special guest Cheryl Segall and very special guest Todd Gershwin in “By George!” — The Genius of George Gershwin.

When Granat returns for another SCW concert at Emanuel, this time with daughter Segall and Gershwin, producer and grandnephew of George Gershwin, he will sing some of Gershwin’s greatest songs along with selections from the music of Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin and Richard Rodgers.

Granat currently presents one of the most popular series at the 92nd Street Y. Recent engagements also include a concert at Lincoln Center in conjunction with the Sinatra Centennial, and a sold-out show at the Metropolitan Room in New York City with his daughter. Granat just celebrated his 175th show at Canyon Ranch.

Following the concert, there will be refreshments.

Tickets are $15 or 2 for $25. For further information and to purchase tickets, call (516) 482-5701.
