One of two women arrested Wednesday for allegedly trying to pass off fake $100 bills used one of them at a Mineola supermarket.

Sarah Abraham of Levittown and Krystal Joushan of Hicksville, both 19, allegedly tried to use the bills labeled “for motion picture use only” at several stores on North Jerusalem Road in Levittown.

Police later found Abraham, who had successfully made purchases with a fake bill on March 29, at Europa Supermarket in Mineola, police said.

As they tried to flee the Levittown stores in a car, the women hit a parked car and a pedestrian, injuring the person’s arm, police said.

The driver whose car they hit followed them to 50 Crescent Lane, where they were arrested, police said.

Abraham and Joushan were arraigned March 31 in First District Court in Hempstead.

Abraham is charged with two counts of petit larceny. She is due back in court April 27.

Joushan faces one petit larceny charge, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident without a report and driving without a license, court records show. She is due back in court April 4.
