Discover the Special Collections of The Bryant Library — Sponsored by the Christopher Morely Knothole Association

Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m.

The Christopher Morley Knothole Association invites the public to an informative look at the role of the archival librarian at Nassau County’s oldest library, the Bryant Library in Roslyn. Carol Clarke, the archivist and local historian of the Bryant Library, will discuss how she maintains the local historian collection, including diverse materials related to Roslyn residents such as poet William Cullen Bryant, industrialist Clarence H. Mackay, and author Christopher Morley, who lived in Roslyn from 1920-1957. Especially for Knothole Association, she will focus on the library’s excellent collection of best-selling author Morley’s first editions, memorabilia, and ephemera maintained in the Morley alcove section of the archives. Time will be set aside afterwards for questions and conversations with Clarke.
