Celebration of Billy Joel at Landmark

The Island Now

On Friday, Sept. 13, David Clark’s Songs in the Attic – a Billy Joel tribute band – will be at Landmark on Main Street to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Long Island icon’s 11th studio album, “Storm Front.” The album includes famous Billy Joel hits such as “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” “I Go to Extremes,” “Downeaster Alexa, and “And So it Goes,” with additional classic Joel hits being performed by Clark throughout the night as well as the album.

Since the release of “Piano Man” in 1973, Joel has had 33 Top 40 hits spanning three decades, all written by the Long Island native himself. He has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Long Island Music Hall of Fame and the Hit Parade Hall of Fame.

The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are still available and can be purchased online. For tickets or for more information on David Clark’s Songs in the Attic, visit www.billyjoeltributeny.com. For more information on the venue, visit www.landmarkonmainstreet.org
