Billy Joel tribute show supports local veterans

The Island Now

Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot have become popular regulars at The Paramount in Huntington, where they perform one of the best Billy Joel tribute shows.

At their upcoming performance on Friday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m., the band, along with TD Bank and The Paramount, will join together to help support Long Island veterans with the non-profit General Needs.

General Needs helps thousands of homeless Long Island veterans and their families through charitable donations and support. The basic necessities, including new clothing, shoes, toiletries, and household goods, are provided directly to local veterans in need.

By partnering with TD Bank and The Paramount, General Needs can make a big impact in local heroes’ lives. When you purchase the $10, $20 or $50 upgrade to a Big Shot ticket for the Nov. 2 performance, the entirety of your donation will go straight to General Needs.

As touring members of Billy Joel’s band, Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot can either be seen with him at Madison Square Garden or at their Long Island home, The Paramount.

With a high energy, crowd pleasing performance, the band plays all of the Piano Man’s major hits. As Joel himself said  “… They had a hard time convincing me it wasn’t me. It’s uncanny.”

The Paramount is located at 370 New York Ave. in Huntington.
