The South Shore Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Music Director Scott Jackson Wiley, will perform at the Madison Theatre at Molloy College on Saturday, Feb. 9.

The performance will feature 2019 Grammy-nominated Jeffrey Biegel and a program that includes Edvard Grieg Piano Concerto, Johannes Brahms Symphony No. 4 and Felix Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture.

Biegel is one of today’s most respected artists, having created a multi-faceted career as a pianist, recording artist, composer and arranger. His electrifying technique and mesmerizing touch has received critical acclaim worldwide.

Biegel studied at the Juilliard School and made his New York orchestral debut performing with the Juilliard Philharmonia in Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. He is currently on the piano faculty at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College.

On Feb. 22, 2015, Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa., conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters upon Biegel, for his achievements as a world-renowned pianist, recording artist, chamber music collaborator, and champion of new piano music, composer, arranger and educator.

The South Shore Symphony Orchestra is an associate of the Rockville Centre Guild for the Arts. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone or at the door. For further information, contact 516-323-4444 or visit www.madisontheatreny.org.
