The Parish of Social Ministry Office at the Church of Saint Aidan will be collecting school supplies during the month of August. All donations can be brought directly to the Parish Social Ministry Office during the week, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The items particularly needed are calculators, one, three and five subject spiral notebooks, marble notebooks plain and two-pocket folders, highlighters, loose-leaf paper (college rule/wide-ruled), ruled-index cards, pencils, pencil sharpener, erasers, flexible three-ring binders (1” & 2”), pens (red, blue and black), colored markers, dry erase markers, crayons, colored pencils, scissors (grades 1-8), construction paper, rulers, glue (bottles/glue sticks), and plastic art supply boxes – 5 x 8.
We would like to distribute all donated items by August 16th to all the children attending our local schools. Changes in the current economy and various family situations have created a greater need for assistance in many families right here in our own community. Let’s all do what we can to reach out to our neighbors.
