On March 29, a team of four Academy of Finance students from New Hyde Park Memorial High School competed and won first place at the Nassau County Comptroller’s Challenge at SUNY College at Old Westbury.

The students presented their company to a panel of judges and competed against 19 other Nassau County schools. The team earned first place on their business idea called Nubis, which is a smart water bottle that is equipped with a GPS system so that a user never loses their water bottle and can monitor water intake and set hydration goals.

The students gained invaluable business knowledge and experience that increased their professionalism and business education.
