Earlier in the school year, East Williston School District was named a Google Reference District, the second on Long Island, sixth in New York State, and 244th in the world to receive this honor.

Google for Education Reference Districts are districts that demonstrate excellence and thought leadership through the innovative use of technology, including G Suite for Education (formerly known as Google Apps for Education) and Chromebooks, to drive impact and positive learning outcomes.

It is through the leadership of Director of Technology, Innovation and Information Services, Ed Kemnitzer, the instructional technology teachers, the technology teaching assistants, BOCES technology support, as well as the many staff members and teachers who work creatively to seamlessly integrate technology into their everyday classroom programs, maximizing learning opportunities for all students of the East Williston School District.
