2 The Fast Lane: Eagles Tribute

The Renaissance Evolution

The first period to be aware of its own existence and to coin a label, this program will show the versatility of the Renaissance greatness as it transitioned from Giotto to Massacio, enhancing the viewer’s appreciation of what makes a “Renaissance” work of art. The presentation will focus on Ghiberti, Donatello, Brunelleschi, Michelangelo, da Vinci and conclude with Raphael’s masterpiece, “The School of Athens,” painted in 1508-1511, which exemplifies the traits first seen in the early Renaissance. The event is a part of Landmark’s Afternoon T.E.A. series.
