4th annual pirate fest at maritime museum

The Island Now

On Saturday and Sunday, June 14 and 15, hordes of pirates will descend upon the grounds of the Long Island Maritime Museum to entertain and delight children and their families at the 4th Annual Pirate Festival.

The event will feature live entertainment and historical reenactments by professional pirate troupes from up and down the east coast. The festival continues to grow in scope and new featured attractions this year will include famous pirate “Billy Bones” and his hysterical Pirate School and Jungle Bob’s Reptile show. Of course there will be pirate costume contests, treasure hunts, live music, a variety of food options and a thieves market incorporating pirate and nautical themed craft vendors.

Admission is $8 per person, and is free for children ages 5 and under.
