The Lakeville Estates Civic Association is now accepting applications for its 3rd Annual Scholarship Award. One winner will receive $2,000. If there is more than one winner a maximum of two winners will be awarded $1,000 each.
This award is for graduating high school seniors who live in New Hyde Park and whose family is a member of the Lakeville Estates Civic Association.
This award is a SERVICE-oriented scholarship where applicants should describe his or her involvement and service to the community and their personal accomplishments. He or She will be chosen based on involvement in and service to the Nassau County Community and/or the Civic Association.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, a paper (or email) must be submitted describing the High School Senior’s involvement and service to our Community as well as his or her personal accomplishments.
Please keep in mind that the association is not necessarily interested in the star of the high school track or their academic achievements. Rather, someone who is involved in community service. The key is that this is a SERVICE-oriented scholarship.
- Submitted papers are to be a maximum of 500 words, typed and double spaced.
- Please also provide the applicant’s contact information and the name with contact information of two (2) references (no relatives please).
