Two Floral Park men were arrested last weekend for allegedly driving drunk with children in their cars, Nassau County police said.

Police said they arrested Hardikkumar Patel, 31, after they learned he was allegedly intoxicated with his 1-year-old son in the car when he was involved in an accident in New Hyde Park Monday night.

Patel was driving a 2002 Honda when he collided with a 2010 Chevrolet at  Jericho Turnpike and New Hyde Park Road at 9:10 p.m., police said.

His child was released to a family member at the scene, police said. No one was hurt in the crash.

In a separate incident, Albin Castillo, 47, was arrested in Roslyn Heights early Sunday morning after an officer found he was allegedly intoxicated with a 15-year-old boy in his car, police said.

An officer stopped Castillo after seeing his 2015 Toyota speeding while heading south on Roslyn Road at 1:15 a.m., police said.

A police spokeswoman said Castillo, a disc jockey, was driving the 15-year-old home from a party where he was assisting him.

The boy was released to his father at the scene, police said.

Both Patel and Castillo are charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law, which makes drunken driving a felony on the first offense when there is a child age 15 or under in the car.

Patel was arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead and is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and driving while intoxicated, police said.

Castillo was arraigned Sunday and released to probation, court records show. He is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated and imprudent speed.
